Backpacks, Not Barriers: Help Anchor House Youth Start the School Year Strong

Back to School Supplies Needed

With the school year fast approaching, Anchor House is in need of Back to School supplies. We especially could use items for middle and high school students.

Last year, our School Outreach Program connected with 331 students—and many of them will need school supplies throughout the year. School supplies are also needed for Shelter residents as they often arrive with little or no belongings. We also distribute items at community events, a strategy to help our staff connect with youth who may be in need of our services.

How You Can Help:

1) Purchase school supplies off of our Amazon Wishlist.
The items will be directly shipped to Anchor House. No drop-off needed! And if you have Prime, it is free shipping!

2) Drop off items at Anchor House
We are located 482 Centre Street in Trenton, NJ 08611. You can use our Amazon Wishlist as a guide, or refer to the Trenton Public Schools supply lists below for ideas. Since many of the youth we serve are teens, middle and high school supplies are especially needed.

3) Host a collection drive or Back-to-School party.
This is a fun and meaningful way to give back—perfect for workplaces, faith-based groups, civic organizations, or community service projects.
