Thank You Anchor House Foundation!

A thank you to the Anchor House Ride for Runaways

Anchor House is grateful to the Anchor House Foundation for another successful Ride for Runaways!  We also extend our deepest thanks to the participants and their donors.

Funds raised help partially support Anchor House’s annual general operating expenses.

“It Takes a Village”

Anchor House and the Anchor House Foundation share a passion for meeting the needs of youth and young people in need.  The Anchor House Foundation annual Ride for Runaways event raises funds to support our mission.

Founded in 1979 by a small group of young cyclists, the Classic 500 mile Ride has expanded to include a Flex-Ride and a Walk-Run that represents all walks of life and ability levels.

The event raises critical funds for Anchor House and offers participants an exciting challenge and like-minded community.

Each participant has their own story of why they ride:

“I ride because I believe that what Anchor House does matters and is more important than any of us know!  There are kids out there who have things happening to them that as a young person, should never experience. Anchor House is a place to find support, resources, and acceptance when those things can be found nowhere else,” says Cheryl Curbishley who celebrated 10 years participating in the event this year.

Congrats Cheryl, and all the participants, for achieving your goals!   We look forward to another exciting event in 2025.

The Anchor House Foundation is still accepting donations in support of this year’s Ride.
